A few weeks ago, we were fortunate to be invited to the opening of the Annex building of The Book Museum cum Ethnology Center in Marikina City.

Founded in 2013 by Atty. Dominador Buhain – President of Rex Group of Companies – this museum features a vast personal collection of souvenirs and books from his travels from over 200 countries and islands.

The Book Museum showcases different kinds of books and other printed materials from all over the world.

On the other hand, The Ethnology Centers highlight well-preserved and priceless artifacts from Northern and Southern part of the Philippines.

The Northern area features local paraphernalia purchased from his trips in the Cordillera region.

The Southern area, on the other hand, features local handcrafted souvenirs and items mostly from Mindanao.

Travel inspiration comes from a lot of things. As someone who has had the privilege of traveling at a young age, I’ve been inspired even more to work hard in order to explore more countries, learn more about their culture, and see the wonders of the world.

Location: 127 Dao Street, Marikina Height, Marikina City

Museum Hours: Tuesday to Sundays 9am-12nn and 1-6pm

Entrance Fee: P300/persom for access to Book Museum, Southern and Northern Ethnology Centers, Museum Annex, The World Map Lounge, and P100 food voucher in James Dean Cafe.
