Over the weekend, Jek and I did a little trip to unwind and relax. It’s been a while since we last took a trip so I think we owe this to ourselves. We decided to try the newly opened resort in Batangas which is Domescape. Read on to know more about them!
Domescape recently opened its doors to the public. It’s a 1.5-hectare land area sitting in a quiet Barangay in Nasugbu, Batangas.
We were welcomed with lush greenery and serene ambiance, the perfect combination for a relaxing vacation.
What to Expect
In your own dome, you get:
- Your own private pool
- Own dining and cooking area
- Private bathroom
- 2 double beds
- A sofa bed
- Air-conditioning unit
- Electric fans
- Refrigerator and microwave
- Toiletries
What we also like about this resort is that they practice the habit of not using plastic. The toiletries that they provide are packaged in refillable glass jars with pumps. We also liked the fact that they retained the plants in the whole area and are planning to plant more trees in the coming months!
If you checked out my post entitled “Why Camping is Not for Me”, I mentioned why I prefer glamping and this is exactly why! You get to be one with nature but still have that little bit of luxury and not being hassled while you’re on your trip.
Natural Swimming Pool
I didn’t grow up being able to swim in rivers so I don’t exactly know what to expect. Natural swimming pools are new to me so it’s exciting and at the same time made me very curious.
As what one of the owners explained to us, their natural swimming pools are equipped with UV-filters ensuring that the water is clean. It also goes through volcanic rocks for that additional filtration.
There are tadpoles in the pool but don’t freak out! One of the owners is a biologist and they know exactly what they’re doing. The reason why tadpoles are there is that they’re the ones making sure that there’ll be no mosquitoes lurking around the water. That’s science and nature to you!
You’ll also notice that green algae are forming in the pool, but don’t worry about it too much! Throughout our discussion, she mentioned that green algae act as natural water filters. She also added that having this actually means the water is clean, hence the reason why it’s potable.
Surprisingly, the water is soft to touch and didn’t make our skin itch, which is common in chemically treated pools which I’m sure most of you will agree.
We fell in love…
I’ve always loved going to the beach and Jek knows my go-to resort for this. But after this weekend, we just fell in love with the place! As I told the owner, it’s the perfect location for a couple’s retreat.
You get to unwind and really take a step back, not thinking about work and being worried about things. It’s the perfect place to meditate and really bond with your partner.
It’s also perfect for family and barkada trips since the dome can accommodate up to 6 people.
Experience Domescape
Domescape is the 1st of its kind in the Philippines! I encourage everyone to please visit this resort because it’s worth traveling to.
This isn’t a sponsored post or anything, mind you. You guys know how I am when it comes to endorsing brands regardless if I’m paid or not.
