Growing up in Bulacan, there weren’t a lot of establishments to go to. You’d have to go to Manila if you want to experience good food and good coffee.
It’s not the same today. Kids have it easy! A few blocks away from schools and subdivisions, you have several cafès to choose from. When I relocated back to Bulacan, I was surprised to see a number of restaurants and cafès. Of course, being the foodie in me, I just had to try them one by one. However, it’s not what a mid-20s-digital-nomad-coffee-lover girl would really go to. They’ve failed to incorporate all things that I personally am looking for – relaxing ambiance, good food, fine selection of coffee, ample parking space, and high-speed internet. That seemed to be impossible to find until a new coffee shop opened its doors to the community.
In May 2019, Stride Coffee opened its doors to the public. Their goal is to let the community experience good coffee without breaking the bank and having to drive all the way to Manila.
Situated in Igulot, Bocaue, Bulacan; Stride Coffee is run by a passionate coffee connoisseur who went to one of the finest barista schools in Manila. The owner wanted the community to have a place to go to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
With minimalist interior, you’re sure to enjoy your stay and be able to do work – perfect for digital nomads like me!
They offer pastries and pasta for you to pair with your coffee. One thing to keep in mind is that they don’t have rice meals, unlike the usual cafès we know of. Stride Coffee aims to preserve the coffee shop vibe – good music, coffee aroma once you step inside, and a relaxing ambiance.
If you’re in the neighborhood craving for a good cup of coffee, visit Stride Coffee! I highly recommend their mint coffee, it’s the first in the market and a very refreshing drink after a long day of work!
