I need to update my wardrobe and so I decided to create pegs on what pieces I want to purchase on my next shopping day. This time, I will be shopping for more office attires. My style when going to work leans towards business casual – still work appropriate, more comfortable, and can be worn as after-work clothes (if I decide to go somewhere else).
Today, I will be sharing with you pegs on what to wear to the office aka what I usually wear to work (whether going to the office or to have a short meeting with business partners).
I go for colors that are neutral, meaning colors that I can easily match anything with likes creams, blues, greens, etc. I also like this kind of color palette because it suites my skin tone and also is not an attention grabber (compare to those of neon colored clothes).
As for the bags, I always go for either a doctor’s bag or a satchel. I tend to buy those with minimalist colors (black and white), I rarely buy other colors not unless it’s the only color available for the style of the bag that I really like.
Peg #1: sheer top (I either go for long sleeves or short sleeves, depends on the weather for the day), pencil skirt, wedge shoes, and wear complimenting accessories to liven up the whole look.
Peg #2: tank top, black pants, free flowing blazer, pumps, and arm candies.
Peg #3: skater dress, lightweight blazer, belt, statement necklace, and flat shoes.
Office clothes does not need to be boring. Just learn how to mix and match colors and accessories. You’re being stylish and fashionable while you still follow your office’s dress code.
